Maywood-Several gunmen walked up to a group of teenagers opening fire and fatally shot one teen while walking near his home about 12:40 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of South 12th Avenue. Dellivon Walker, 15, was pronounced dead at 3:05 a.m. at the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Maywood Police Chief Elvia Williams said the gunmen fled and no one was in custody and no motive had been established as of 5 p.m. Monday "On the surface this does not appear to be gang-related," she said. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Maywood police at 708-450-4452
Gang related shooting huh? how about gun related, how about calling DCFS on these kids parents. Dellvion his entourage and the kids with guns should've been locked in the damn house and the Maywood police chief need to be put on administrative leave because her officers should be enforcing the village curfew not crime scene investigating.
A 30-year-old man was shot to death Monday morning after 5 a.m. in the 1100 block of East 47th Street on a South Side porch in North Kenwood. Terrance Thomas was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:50 a.m., according to a Cook County medical examiner's spokesperman. A police spokesman Officer Daniel O'Brien said the gunman was not in custody and the motive for the shooting was not immediately known Thomas' last known address was in the 7200 block of South Paulina Street, but he may have been homeless O'Brien said.
This man gets murked and the only pertinent tid bit of information the police spokesman has to offer is the murder victim didn't have a mortgage.
