The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the woman Wednesday morning as Jeniel Morgan, 42, of the 1100 block of 161st Place in South Holland. The man was identified as Michael Rodgers, 34, of the 100 block of Lester Road in Park Forest.
He was shot at 1031 E. Sibley Boulevard and taken to St. James Hospital and Health Centers in Olympia Fields, where he was pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

Police responded to a holdup alarm about 2:20 p.m. at Illinois Vehicle Insurance, 1031 E. Sibley Blvd., and were told that a man was holding a hostage inside, Assistant Chief Bolden Jones said at a news conference at the scene. A regional SWAT team was called in, and officers began negotiating with a man inside. He left the building about 4 p.m., Jones said. The medical examiner's office said Morgan was found shot to death in the office, and Rodgers was pronounced dead of multiple gunshot wounds shortly after arriving at the hospital. Autopsies were scheduled for Wednesday morning.

Jones would not confirm whether officers shot Rodgers or whether he had a weapon, but numerous witnesses said he was holding a gun and failed to respond to police commands to drop it.Jones would not say whether there was a relationship between Rodgers and Morgan. He said multiple agencies were investigating.
